PCI’s Clinical Guides offer pragmatic, evidenced based guidance on clinical care in humanitarian, low and middle income settings and are aligned to the WHO Essential Medicines List. We are now making these resources available for free to support work being done in these thematic areas.
However please note that on their own they are not sufficient, as good clinical care involves more than knowledge. Clinicians also need practical skills, consultation skills and problem solving skills. Good patient care also requires good systems, such as: reliable supplies of essential medicines and basic equipment, the availability of essential tests, individual patient clinical records.
At Primary Care International, we offer these Clinical Guides as part of a package of training that includes knowledge, skills and systems to allow clinicians and managers to develop their service to offer reliable, compassionate and good quality care to patients. Please contact PCI at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to find out more about this work.
